What is Pre-Professional?

Professional schools are those which offer advanced degrees necessary to be employed in that discipline, areas such as medicine, dentistry, law, physical therapy, and many more.  If you are interested in applying to a professional school program following your undergraduate experience then you are a “pre–professional” student.  As a pre–professional student you can select any undergraduate academic major.  As a pre–professional student at MoWest you will work individually with an academic advisor knowledgeable in your area of interest and be connected to resources you need to gain experiences and make yourself the most competitive applicant possible.

Who Can Be a Pre-Professional Student?

At MoWest, anyone can be on a pre-professional track. You can pursue any academic major you like while on your pre-professional track and your advisor will help you identify the required coursework necessary to apply to your professional school.

MoWest can help you prepare for just about any professional school. This preparation is individualized to the needs of each pre-professional student, each professional discipline, and even sometimes the individual professional schools within that discipline. At MoWest you will never be given a generic, cookie-cutter path to follow on your pre-professional track. Our pre-professional tracks include:

Pre-Health includes paths to medicine, dentistry, physical therapy, chiropractic, physician assistant, anesthesiologist assistant, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, podiatric medicine, occupational therapy, and more. Because these paths differ so much from one to another, it’s important to work with an advisor to help you pick the courses that are right for you.
