Welcome New Griffons
Griffon Orientation sessions will begin June 8 with a Transfer Student Orientation, to be followed by a non-traditional GO session on June 9 and eight traditional freshmen-focused sessions in June and July (see the full schedule).
We have selected and trained fifteen fantastic Griffon leaders to support our new Griffons’ transition to life on campus. Be sure your student has registered for a session through their Missouri Western Applicant Portal, we can’t wait to see you on campus!

Classes may not start until August, but there are lots of ways you and your student can connect with campus before then:
- Follow @FirstYearGriffs on Instagram for reminders, tips and Q&A with current students and staff
- Incoming freshmen can submit a design for the Class of Enthusiasm t-shirt design contest: the prize is a $100 scholarship
- Once registered for Griffon Orientation, students should download the Canvas mobile app to access their First-Year Griffon Guide which has more guided information to help them prepare for the fall
