Upcoming Event!
Mark your calendars for GriffCon 2026!
The Center for Teaching and Learning will host our sixth annual GriffCon event, March 6, 2026 on the topic of Rethinking “Imposter Syndrome” in Spratt 214/216 from 2:00-4:00pm

What if “impostor syndrome” isn’t something to fix, but rather something to understand? In this session, RJ Jenkins from Columbia University will explore a transformative reframe: that feeling like an impostor isn’t a flaw or a failure of confidence, but a natural byproduct of aspiration, learning, and growth. Rather than learning how to manage or “cure” their impostor feelings, participants will learn to view them as healthy signals that they’re stretching into new territory — evidence of evolution, not inadequacy. We’ll unpack how this mindset shift can serve as a wellness strategy — helping individuals build self-compassion, reduce anxiety, and cultivate balance during times of transition or challenge. Attendees will leave with practical tools for recognizing impostor feelings as markers of progress and integrating this reframe into their personal and pedagogical practices.
