Four Missouri Western students competed in the Alpha Chi annual collaborative research competition, culminating with a live presentation in Austin, Texas. The team’s four students included Mackenzie Grantham, Biology-Health Science; Kylee Meehan, Psychology; Tanner Merwin, History; and Wanda Pearson, Psychology. The team was mentored by Dr. Angela Hoss, History. The project, “Past, Present, and Future Disease Dynamics: A Comparative Analysis of the Social Dynamics of the Current COVID-19 Pandemic and Tuberculosis Outbreaks of the 20th Century” including history research, survey design and data collection, and production of a manuscript, poster and presentation. Missouri Western’s Alpha Chi chapter (Missouri Lambda) is co-sponsored by Dr. Deka, Psychology, and Dr. Haas, History.
