Dr. Cary D. Chevalier has been recognized by The Wildlife Society (TWS), the international professional society for wildlife science, management, and conservation, as the International Student Chapter Advisor of the Year for 2021. This is a very prestigious award and an international recognition. There are approximately 140 Student Chapters of TWS in the US, Canada, and Mexico. There are six student chapters in Missouri. This the second time Dr. Chevalier has received this honor (previously, in 2013). Dr. Chevalier is the Faculty Advisor to the MWSU Student Chapter of TWS, the most active and award-winning Student Chapter in Missouri – eight-time winner of the North-Central Section Student Chapter of the Year, and three-time winner of International Student Chapter of the Year.
