Now is a great time to remind your student that the Center for Academic Support, conveniently located in Hearnes 213 next to the library, provides free tutoring to all Missouri Western students. The CAS offers trained tutors and passionate staff who want to help your student succeed academically.
This is typically the time many freshmen realize that attending university is more academically demanding than high school. However, there is still plenty of time in the semester for them to seek help and raise their grades. Math and writing assistance is usually available for walk-ins. Content tutors are available for many other classes upon request. Appointments are encouraged, as walk-in spaces are limited and may fill quickly.
