In an effort to connect the University with Downtown Saint Joseph, the Student Government Association has organized an initiative wherein downtown businesses have offered to provide specials and discounts to those with Missouri Western ID. The first soft run of Third Thursday was Aug. 16 with the goal of making the Sept. 20 event even bigger. Shops, restaurants, bars, and boutiques have all come together to provide a unique downtown experience to show their support for Missouri Western State University.
