The residence halls will close for the spring semester on Saturday, May 6. Students who are not graduating will need to be checked out of their residence halls by their resident assistant 24 hours after their last final, no later than 10 a.m., Saturday, May 6. Graduating seniors have until 5 p.m., Saturday, May 6 to check out. All students should have received an email from their hall director with guidelines for moving out of the residence halls.

Students are asked to leave their rooms as clean as the found them when they moved in. Each student is responsible for their bedroom, while all students are responsible for the common areas.

If your student is enrolled in a summer course or will work on campus over the summer, they may apply for summer housing. Summer housing is $85 per week. The priority housing deadline was April 26, but the application is still open and can be accessed on your student’s Goldlink. Transition weekend for summer housing will be held the weekend of May 18. During that time, students will move from their current residence hall, or from off campus, into Griffon Hall.

Throughout the summer there will be a resident assistant in every hall, professional staff coverage, and 24/7 security. During business hours, the Griffon Hall desk will be open, and the Commons building desk will be open at all other times. Programs and events will still be held in the halls throughout the summer as well. Dining services on campus will be closed for the summer, but each suite in Griffon Hall has a full kitchen. Please remind your student that policies, procedures and the student code of conduct still apply during the summer.

New incoming students will see their housing assignments posted in Goldlink and sent via email beginning in May.

If you have a student athlete, your summer housing questions should be directed to their coach.
