From May 7-25, 2017, students and professors will travel to study Spanish in Panama. This class (SPA250/SPA350) is worth three credit hours. Cost is to be determined, but your student can check with the Financial Aid Office to see if their aid will apply. Two orientation dates will be held in April (dates to be determined). If your student is interested in enrolling, they can contact Tammy Norris at (816) 271-4194.

The trip will include two weeks’ study at the respected Habla Ya Spanish School, located in Boquete, a pristine small town known for its breathtaking beauty. Sightseeing and adventure are in store. The fee will include opportunities for white water rafting, hiking and a visit to a coffee plantation. Other adventures can be booked inexpensively while your student is on site. The class will culminate with a side trip to Panama City to explore the city, see the world-famous canal and take a cruise on Lake Gatun, the world’s largest manmade body of water.
