Certifying Official for the VA

The VA School Certifying Official, located in the Military and Veteran Services office in Eder Hall, Room 200, is the main point of contact for students using VA education benefits at Missouri Western State University.

The School Certifying Official helps students by:

• Submitting and maintaining enrollment certifications so VA education benefits are paid correctly
• Assisting with questions about VA benefits, eligibility, and required paperwork
• Sharing updates on changes to VA laws or policies that may impact benefits
• Explaining Missouri Western policies and procedures related to VA education benefits

The School Certifying Official also works directly with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Office in St. Louis to help resolve benefit issues and ensure timely and accurate payments.
