If you have not already applied and been admitted to Missouri Western, please visit Admissions to begin the process.

The following checklist is for military connected students already admitted and enrolling at Missouri Western.

Important documentation to bring with you to your meeting with Admissions or the School Certifying Official:

DD 214
Copy of Military Transcript confirmation

STEP 1: Enroll at Missouri Western

Send all final transcripts to the Office of Admissions, ensuring successful completion of all conditions noted in the admissions letter.

Students cannot register for courses until the university receives proof of immunization history.

Explore financial assistance. All degree seeking students can apply for financial aid by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Aid includes need-based scholarships, grants, and loans. Additional information may be obtained through the Office of Financial Aid.

STEP 2: Meet with the School Certifying Official

All student veterans must visit the School Certifying Official to file required paperwork to receive VA Education Benefits. Failure to do so may cause a delay in the process of claiming benefits.

Schedule an appointment with the Missouri Western’s School Certifying Official in Eder 103, call (816) 271-5679.

STEP 3: Get connected and explore resources

Connect with other student veterans through Missouri Western’s Student Veterans of America chapter. This a student organization dedicated to help fellow collegiate veterans in the transition from military to college life. You can also like SVA on Facebook.

The Nontraditional and Commuter Student Center is located in Eder 200. It is a designated location on campus for student veterans to study, meet with other veterans or nontraditional students to spend time with and support each other in a fun and relaxing space.

Visit the Missouri Western Student Veterans of America (SVA) website or like SVA on Facebook for more information.

There is also a Facebook group for the Missouri Western Nontraditional and Commuter Student Center. Friend us on Facebook for further involvement.
