Welcome to the Commons Building. Here you will find spaces like Res Life staff offices, the front desk, the Residence Hall Association office, Max’s Mart C-Store & Grill and a computer lab.
Director of Housing and Residence Life and Residential Life Coordinator Offices
- Find and submit forms for staying over a break, requesting summer housing, etc.
- Take care of roommate concerns
- Get your questions answered
- Stop by for a chat
Our offices are open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Residential Life Coordinators are usually in their Commons Building office in the morning and move to their respective residential hall office for the afternoon.
Front Desk
- Find and submit forms for staying over a break, requesting summer housing, etc.
- Pick up packages
- Get help with lost keys
- Report money lost to the vending machine
- Check out sports equipment, like basketballs, volleyballs and ping-pong paddles
Front desk hours are 8 a.m. until midnight Monday through Friday and 8 p.m. until midnight Saturday and Sunday.
The Residence Hall Association
- A student-led organization
- A connection to Res Life that is not a formal part of Res Life
- The voice of the students within the residence halls
- Works with Res Life to make sure new policies are in line with what the students want
The RHA Office hours are by appointment, contact rha@missouriwestern.edu for scheduling.
Max’s Mart
- A late-night snack spot that is exclusive to students living on campus
- The Grill at Max’s Mart: grab a burger or some chicken strips
- The C-Store at Max’s Mart: pick up convenience items or soft drinks
Max’s Mart is open nightly from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. and The Grill is open every night from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Recreation Spaces
- One of two full-size basketball courts
- Sand volleyball court
- Stone ping-pong table
- Gazebo
We want your residence hall to be your home away from home and this outdoor space is your backyard. That is, until we turn the court lights off at midnight!
