Frequently Asked Questions

The COVID-19 screening will consist of a temperature check and a quick questionnaire. If you are feeling ill the day of move-in, please stay home! We are more than happy to reschedule your move-in to a different day.

We ask that all students continue monitoring themselves for symptoms before their arrival on campus. Students exhibiting symptoms should not come to campus. However if symptoms develop after you arrive, please contact the Esry Student Health Center at 816-271-4495 for testing. After being tested, you may be required to quarantine in your assigned room. Meal service will be available for those students in quarantine.

If you cannot make your recommended move-in time, that’s okay! We understand that students and families are coming from all-over. Our recommended move-in times are there to help reduce bottlenecks within each building. If you are able to make your move-in time, please do! If you are running late or can’t make that time, come when you can.

A limited number of dollies and carts will be available at each building. We still recommend bringing your own if you have one!

We encourage you to bring the minimum number of people required to get you settled into your new space. COVID-19 is still present in our community, and while you are not restricted to who can help, remember there will be a lot of people on campus that day. If anyone in your family is at a higher risk for COVID-19, we encourage you to find a way to arrive without them.

All students and guests must wear a mask while indoors.
