The Kansas City Chiefs Training Camp is right around the corner, and we wanted to let you know about several events happening on- and off-campus related to camp. Camp dates are July 27-Aug. 15.

Red Rally
5:45 p.m., Friday, July 26, Coleman Hawkins Park at Felix Street Square
This is the official community kickoff for Chiefs Training Camp, celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs returning to St. Joseph for the 10th year. This free event includes Patrick Mahomes-style headbands for the first 500 guests, Andy Reid/Patrick Mahomes look-alike contest, emcee Mitch Holthus, KC Wolf and MWSU’s own Mystics dance team and Max the Griffon.

Paint it Gold (and Red) Fridays
July 26, Aug. 2 and Aug. 9
Show your Griffon (and Chiefs) pride for a chance to win prizes on Fridays during Chiefs Training Camp. Wear Griffon and/or Chiefs gear on Fridays during camp, then watch Missouri Western’s social media accounts for instructions on how to enter. **Note from the PR/Marketing team: You get bonus points for wearing Griffon AND Chiefs gear!

Team autograph sessions are scheduled to take place July 27, July 28, Aug. 2, Aug. 3 and Aug. 4. Family Fun Day will be Aug. 3. The Chiefs will host two Season Ticket Member days on July 28 and Aug. 4. Chiefs Alumni Day and Gatorade Junior Training Camp will be held on Aug. 2, and camp will wrap up with Military Appreciation day on Aug. 15.

Unless otherwise noted, all training camp practices will be free of charge to the public except on July 27, 28 and Aug. 3, which will be a $5 admission fee. Missouri Western will charge a $5 parking fee per vehicle per day.

Weather and field conditions are evaluated daily. All dates and times provided are subject to change. If practice is moved indoors due to poor conditions it will be closed to the general public. The club will notify fans via social media channels as soon as a decision is made.
