Alumni Fitness Membership

Get fit and show your support by getting an Alumni Fitness Membership.

Alumni of Missouri Western and individuals who attended the St. Joseph Junior College are eligible to purchase an alumni fitness membership to use the recreational facilities during free time hours. Recreational facilities include the Thomas Eagleton Pool, Looney Complex (gymnasiums, racquetball, tennis) and The Baker Family Fitness Center.

The yearly cost for the recreation facility membership is $180 for a single and $240 for a family. With the purchase of a family membership, ID cards will be issued to spouses and children from age 16-23 living in the same household.

To obtain your alumni fitness membership, please visit the Alumni Office in Spratt Hall, Room 105 Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

  • You may pay in full using cash, check, or credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover or American Express). Also, bring with you the names and dates of birth of your family members.

  • You may choose the monthly payment option through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or recurring credit or debit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover or American Express). Your first month’s payment is due upon sign up and the remaining payments will be processed each month. Where do I get my Alumni Fitness Membership ID card?2021-03-16T15:54:10-05:00

Once you have purchased a membership, each family member 16 or older will need to visit the Parking & Security Services Office located in Blum Union Room 201, where they will be issued their own ID card. IDs will be issued Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. only.

Operation hours may vary due to classes, athletics, special events and campus breaks. Changes in the schedule will be posted at the front desk of the Fitness Center. Any questions regarding the Fitness Center hours can be answered by calling (816) 271-5947.

Are there restrictions on the membership?2023-01-09T16:05:30-06:00

Yes, the Fitness Center requires a physician’s consent form for men over the age of 45 and women over the age of 55. No one under the age of 16 will be admitted into the Fitness Center. If an individual is under 18, he/she must have a liability form and a permission-for-care form signed by his/her parents before being allowed to use the Fitness Center. The pool, racquetball courts, arena and gymnasium are open to all family members.

The family membership includes the spouse of an alumnus/a and his/her children between the ages of 16-23 who reside in the same household. Each family member will need a Facility Membership ID Card.

Collegiate License Plates

Show your pride all over the state with your own collegiate license plate

Missouri Western State University and the St. Joseph Junior College alumni, family, and friends in Missouri can show their pride and support by ordering collegiate license plates through the Missouri Department of Revenue Motor Vehicle Bureau.

In order to receive the plates, the Department of Revenue requires individuals to make a minimum $25 contribution per year to the university. Stop by Leah Spratt Hall, Room 105, to make a donation and pick up your personalized plate application (these applications can also be picked up at the license bureau).

After you make your donation, Missouri Western will issue you an Emblem Use Authorization Statement. The authorization statement is proof that you donated to Missouri Western and must be sent with the personalized plate application to the Motor Vehicle Bureau in Jefferson City (address is on application).
