The Blake K. Scanlon Applied Learning Presentation Grant is for students presenting refereed papers (or refereed poster sessions) or exhibiting juried works (or making juried performances) in national and international professional venues. The funds can be used to cover travel, lodging, and meal expenses associated with the travel. Up to $1000 may be awarded. https://foundation.missouriwestern.edu/blake-scanlon/
The Student Excellence Fund (SEF) provides an opportunity for students to participate in activities that complement classroom learning such as conferences and seminars, research, presentation of papers and participation in state and national competitions and tournaments. Allocations from the SEF are based upon availability of funds, with the maximum award per student per academic year limited to $700. https://foundation.missouriwestern.edu/student-excellence-fund/
Many student unions are susceptible to being renovated over time and end up becoming confusing places. Over time they experience poorly matched spaces with functions and miss-matched finishes and quality of materials. We seek to address this is through a facility master plan that can guide smaller renovations to be completed within a broader design thereby allowing for financial flexibility while not losing sight of the main goals and objectives the building is trying to serve.
