Full-time Faculty and Staff
MWSU provides medical and prescription coverage through Blue KC to all benefit eligible employees. Employees have a choice of four plans; one HMO and three PPO plans. The High Deductible Health Plan includes participation in a Health Savings Account (HSA).
Spouse and Eligible Dependents coverage available
Employees may also choose to cover their spouse and/or eligible dependents under the medical insurance. Dependents can be covered through the end of the calendar year they turn 26 (regardless of marital status). Employees are responsible for the premium cost for coverage of a spouse/dependent(s) through payroll deduction. Deductions are made on a pre-tax basis.
Employees and dependents with medical coverage are eligible for pharmacy benefits. Blue KC has partnered with OptumRx to provide all your pharmacy benefits, including home delivery of maintenance medications.
