As a Griffon Edge Mentor, you’ll make connections across campus, help incoming students find their home at Missouri Western, and earn a $300 scholarship! Applications must be submitted by April 5th.
What is a Griffon Edge Mentor?
As a Griffon Edge Mentor you get the opportunity to lead a group of 20-30 first-year students through Griffon Edge. You’ll participate in high energy social events, welcome and mentor incoming students, and compete in the highly contested Color Team Competition. We select 60 – 70 students for this leadership role each year. This role is a great fit for people who enjoy mentorship and want to support fellow students in having a great experience in college.
This role will help you grow your public speaking skills, improve your understanding of event management, and build your leadership skills. Additionally, this leadership role also includes Griffon gear, free meals, and a $300 scholarship.
Important Dates
The following dates are required for Griffon Edge Mentors.
- Friday, April 23rd – Griffon Edge Mentor Spring Training (first-time mentors only)
- Sunday, August 22nd – Griffon Edge Logistics Training
- August 26th – 29th – Griffon Edge
