When Grace Langford was a senior in high school, she was diagnosed with an auto-immune disease around the same time she found out her beloved uncle’s cancer was no longer in remission.
During this stressful time, she went on a campus visit to Missouri Western and started thinking that maybe things would change if she embarked on a new journey here.
“I want to help people such as my uncle (who passed away from cancer before she returned to classes in 2019), those who do not have access to health care, as well as those with undiagnosed auto-immune diseases such as I once had,” she said. “I can confidently say that this experience has strengthened my drive to graduate with my Biology: Health Sciences degree.”
