“The Art Department at Missouri Western is great,” Etta said. “It’s like a family. The professors are awesome and really care about their students.”
Major: Studio Art
For Etta Martin, deciding on a college and a major was relatively easy. The St. Joseph native says she has always had a passion for photography, and she was pleased when she realized her hometown university offered a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a photography emphasis.
Her experience as a student has been exceptional. Etta believes the art scene in St. Joseph has grown a lot since she came to college, and she is excited to be a part of that.
