A Title IX Workshop will be held from 2-3:20 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29 in Wilson 206 Computer Lab. Legal Studies faculty and students will be available to help you learn about the proposed rule changes to Title IX and help you write a comment to state your position. Comments you make for or against these regulations can affect the final regulations that impact all of us. The deadline for making comments is January 30.
Changes proposed to regulations affect when and how sexual harassment and assault cases would be handled by all universities by:
• Limiting university responsibility by only applying to occurrences on campus or within a university program,
• Changing the reporting and hearing process of the university, and
• Narrowing the definition of sexual assault
