A new online jobs portal named Handshake will go live Jan. 14 for Missouri Western students and potential employers. It will replace the current Griffons4Hire system.

Handshake will give students and alumni access to job postings both on-campus and at companies across the country, increasing Missouri Western’s reach to over 300,000 employers.

Employers will have access to create an account and post openings on Handshake, through which Missouri Western students can review and find positions to apply to. The wide variety of postings will include part-time positions on campus through the Student Employment Program, or full-time careers around the world.

“We believe that this platform will make it easier and quicker to connect students and alumni to quality jobs and dream careers,” said Dr. Vincent Bowhay, career development director. The Career Development Center’s primary mission is to connect students with career services and student employment opportunities; effectively connecting job seekers to on- and off-campus employers.

Handshake officially launches to  students on Monday, Jan. 14, 2019. For regular updates on the launch of Handshake, please visit missouriwestern.edu/careerdevelopment.
