Application for Student Governor

The Missouri Western State University Board of Governors establishes policies, by-laws, rules and regulations for its own government and for control and government of the University. The student governor is a non-voting member of the Board and can serve a term up to two years in length.

Term: January 2026 through December 2028

Interested students should complete the below application, including a resumé and cover letter. Your application and supporting documents will be used to determine who receives an interview.

The Student Governor may write reports to the President and to the Board of Governors to inform them of events or issues of interest in the lives of students.

Describe a topic you feel would important for the President to know. The item should be a current issue, possibly from this Fall semester. Keep in mind that the Board of Governors and the President read many items, so being clear and concise is very important.
