Non-Trad
NONTRADITIONAL  & COMMUTER STUDENT ACTIVITIES

Commuter Boost is an informal gathering of adult students for networking, campus social engagement and ultimately carpooling. It is typically held twice a month, the second Tuesday and 4th Wednesday. It is a great opportunity to meet fellow commuters and other nontrads, find out was happening on campus and help shape the future of events planned for commuters. Whether you have 5 minutes or 3 hours, join us for great conversation while enjoying coffee, refreshment and snacks.

The Welcome
A Healing Journey for Veterans and Their Familes

April 2, 2013
Kemper Recital
6:00 p.m.

The Welcome offers a fiercely intimate view of life after war: the fear, anger and isolation of post-traumatic stress that affects vets and family members alike. As we join these vets in a small room for an unusual five day healing retreat, we witness how the ruins of war can be transformed into the beauty of poetry. All of us are a vital piece of the Welcome as Veterans try to find the way back home. Their examples of unflinching honesty, courage and love lift us up, inspiring all of us once again to feel our common humanity.

Community members, faculty, staff and students are welcome to attend. This is a free event.

Due to the nature of this film and the topics discussed children are not permitted.
