I joined this program in January 2010 after transferring from Northwest Missouri State University, where I was working on a MBA. I had a very technical undergraduate degree (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) and wanted some management knowledge. The MBA program was too non-technical. Western's MAS-ITM combines the best of both worlds. My experience here exceeded my expectations. It is all-round application of management knowledge in the field of information technology. I am more than confident that by the end of this program, I will be ready to start working as network administrator or systems administrator, and also I will be skilled enough to climb my way up the ladder to become Chief Information Officer (CIO). With Smaller class size, students receive greater attention and have more opportunities to apply the course work n well equipped labs. I’ve also seen that my classmates, who were not from a technical background, found the course structure well designed for them. My experience at Western is outstanding.
