The BGS degree has been a benefit to me because of my full time job with the MO Air National Guard and the ability to take classes online or in the evening.
Do you have credits toward a degree you started earlier in life, but never finished?
Would you like to add to those credits and complete a degree?
Come "back to Missouri Western" and complete your degree by enrolling in one of three flexible degrees: the Bachelor of General Studies, the Bachelor of Science in Technology, or the Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies.
Do you want to earn your degree online? Many students will be able to earn a Bachelor of General Studies completely online. Many of the courses you need to complete the degrees listed below are offered online, making it easier for you to come back to school without leaving your commitment to work and family.
Bachelor of General Studies
The BGS degree is specifically for adult learners who have delayed or interrupted their studies, or for whom their original major is no longer appropriate. It is designed to be multidisciplinary and have maximum flexibility to suit the needs of students.
The BGS will allow you to build a custom concentration out of two minors, rather than a single content focus while meeting all bachelor's degree requirements. Your path to a bachelor’s degree will be built around your unique college credit history, and, if applicable, incorporate transfer credits and past major-specific work.
Online Completion: Minors that are offered entirely online currently include business, psychology, criminal justice, and health informatics and information management. Most general education courses are also online.
