The campaign will address as many of Missouri Western’s long-range needs as possible during the five-year effort. By supporting this campaign, your investment will directly help every department by expanding support for facilities, student scholarships and emerging needs. As these goals are accomplished, additional needs will be addressed campus-wide. Although most donors are likely to leave their gifts unrestricted, you may designate your gifts towards other university needs.

Undesignated gifts to the campaign will be used to meet all of the campaign goals outlined in the fact sheet. Although most donors are likely to leave their gifts undesignated, you may designate your gifts towards one of the goals. To designate your gift, please write your intent on your pledge form.

All gifts received through the Missouri Western Annual Fund between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2020 will be counted toward the Ongoing Needs goal. This includes gifts made annually through membership in the Western League for Excellence. Annual, undesignated gifts provide flexible funds to many of the programs and priorities on campus that do not receive regular designated support. We ask our benefactors to continue their annual support throughout the campaign period and consider an additional, stretch gift to address the other campaign goals.

Five-year pledges allow donors to consider giving more than is possible through “one-time” gifts with less strain on your budget. Any commitment is easier to make if we know we can do it over time.

No, a pledge is a gift, one you consider to be meaningful to you. You can revise your pledge should your circumstances require it. All we ask is that you do your best and advise us if you wish to change your pledge. All pledges will be kept as confidential as possible. Only the people responsible for maintaining the records will have access to your pledge.

Yes, trust and estate gifts can be made. Because the needs of the campaign require immediate funding, gifts of cash and securities are generally sought. If you offer a planned gift, you will be referred to the Development Office to discuss the options available in making such a gift.

Gifts to the campaign are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. The application of such laws vary with individual circumstances.
