This course covers measurement systems, calipers, micrometers and gauging. Examples of topics covered include (a) the function and construction of a machinist’s rule, how to use a dial caliper and an outside micrometer, and using a digital indicator to measure a dimension.
Who Should Take this Program?
This is an excellent choice for all production workers within a manufacturing facility, especially operators and inspectors. QA & QC professionals can brush up on their metric conversions as well as maintenance and repair workers. Anyone who has or will have a job description that involves measuring should take this in-depth course to better understand what affects measurements with different tools and materials and how to ensure accurate dimensions.
