Lauren Nylund ’25 was heavily involved with the MoWest mission of applied learning. With a degree in Psychology and a minor in Childhood Studies, she participated in numerous events, presented her research at conferences, embarked on a practicum experience. Through applied learning opportunities here, she was able to do her practicum at the Noyes Home for Children. Lauren plans to expand her education even further by obtaining a Master’s in clinical- community counseling at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. Lauren was featured by the MoWest Foundation and was declared MIAA Defensive Player of the year in 2024. “This opportunity has given me the chance to improve my growth in childhood development and sets me apart from other students who might not have had this hands-on opportunity.”
