Lindsey (Maag) Davis knew that she wanted to pursue the field of engineering when she was still in high school. She also knew that she wanted to further her education close to home. Earning her associate degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Lindsey decided to continue her education and earned her bachelor’s degree in the same field. “Missouri Western has many tools and opportunities available to help you achieve your goals,” Lindsey says. She was able to intern with Altec Industries in St. Joseph, which gave her hands-on experience working alongside full-time Altec employees. After graduating in 2014, Lindsey was hired as an engineering technician for Varco Pruden Buildings, a pre-engineered metal building company. She works with AutoCAD and other technology programs, utilizing her foundation of knowledge gained at Missouri Western.
