General Studies Assessment (GSA)

Mission of the University Assessment Committee (UAC): To encourage and support assessment as an ongoing process of identifying unit values, collecting relevant data, and appropriately analyzing the findings to inform decision making that will contribute meaningfully to the process of continuous improvement.

Mission of the University Assessment Committee (UAC) is to:

1. pursue academic excellence through enhancing student learning and instruction.
2. pursue institutional effectiveness to enhance the student experience.
3. pursue all programs and units to submit annually a quality assessment plan and include an applied learning assessment measure.
4. provide focused guidance and assistance to all academic, co-curricular, and operational units with creating assessment plans, analyzing data, and implementing improvements.
5. maintain a record of assessment data and regularly evaluate the effectiveness of its assessment system.
