We’re excited to welcome hundreds of Griffons to campus this summer for orientation. This exciting event is our students’ first chance to get their official school ID, meet with peers, and pick out their classes.

Bushman Planetarium Public Showings
June 12 and 13, 2026
Did you know we have a planetarium on campus? It’s one of our favorite hidden gems. Join us in Agenstein 147 for public showings of “Black Holes” and “Sea Monsters” on June 12 and 13 at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children age 13 and under, students, employees, military and senior citizens age 60 and up. Get your tickets at https://missouriwestern.edu/planetarium.

Justin Sell Feature
We have been highlighting our students through a new video series titled “Griffon Voices” and want to highlight a very inspirational story. We are honored to share Justin’s journey of determination, hard work, honesty, and community. As a full-time student facing homelessness, Justin contemplated dropping out. Through Pivotal Pointe Transitional Housing he was able to secure a place to live where he could reflect and plan his future. Now, he is a full-time student in our nursing program and is on the path to graduation.
