The Department of Art and the School of Fine Arts at Missouri Western State University will hold their annual Holiday Art Sale Dec. 4-7 in the Potter Hall Gallery on the Missouri Western campus. A premiere grand opening will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4. The sale will then be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The Holiday Art Sale features work by Missouri Western student and faculty in all media types, including pottery, prints, drawings, sculptures, graphics and photographs. A portion of each sale benefits the Amy Singleton Memorial Art Scholarship Fund.

In addition, Missouri Western Clay Guild students and faculty have made over 800 hand-built or thrown stoneware and porcelain mugs for a project called Cups for Kiln. The mugs are being sold for $20 each, with all proceeds going to buy materials for the construction of a large wood-fired ceramic kiln.
