Three key leaders of the Kansas City Chiefs will speak at a breakfast starting at 7:15 a.m. Friday, May 17 in the Fulkerson Center at Missouri Western State University. Breakfast with the Chiefs will feature Head Coach Andy Reid, General Manager John Dorsey and President Mark Donovan. The cost of the breakfast is $10. Reservations are required by Tuesday, May 14. “This breakfast is a celebration of Missouri Western’s great partnership with the Kansas City Chiefs,” said Dr. Robert Vartabedian, Missouri Western’s president. “This summer will mark the fourth year the Chiefs have held their training camp at Missouri Western and excitement this year is as high as it’s ever been. We’re pleased to introduce ourselves to John Dorsey and Andy Reid and renew our friendship with Mark Donovan, and I know the community will give them a warm St. Joseph welcome.”

“It has been a privilege to call Missouri Western our summer home the past three seasons,” Donovan said. “Over the years, we have received a tremendous amount of support from the St. Joseph community. We are looking forward to introducing John and Andy to the campus, their first class facilities, as well as having them meet many of our great fans at training camp in July.”

Andy Reid enters his first season with Kansas City in 2013. He was hired as the club’s 13th head coach in franchise history on January 7, 2013. Reid joins the Chiefs after 14 seasons as Head Coach/Executive Vice President of Football Operations of the Philadelphia Eagles where he compiled a 130-93-1 (.583) regular season record. He added six division titles, five NFC Championship appearances and one Super Bowl appearance. In his coaching career, Reid’s teams have made the playoffs 15 times (19-14 record) and he has coached in three Super Bowls and eight NFC Championship Games. He owns three NFL Coach of the Year titles.

John Dorsey became the sixth general manager in Chiefs history on January 14, 2013. He is entering his first season as an NFL general manager and his 23rd year as a player personnel professional. Prior to joining the Chiefs, Dorsey most recently served one year as director of football operations for the Green Bay Packers after 12 years as the Packers’ director of college scouting. Dorsey is on the board of directors for National Football Scouting and is a former member of the NFL College Advisory Committee. He is also a member of the NFL Scouting Combine selection committee and is a voting member of the collegiate Butkus Award given to the nation’s top linebacker. Dorsey is the only NFL voting member of the Harris Interactive College Football Poll.

Entering his 15th season in the National Football League and his fifth season in Kansas City, Mark Donovan was named the fifth president in Chiefs history in January 2011 after serving two years as the club’s Chief Operating Officer. As president, Donovan is responsible for all aspects of the club’s business operations. He is one of only a few executives league-wide who has worked both at the NFL league office and for a club, with valuable perspective and strong relationships both in the Kansas City area and on the national level. Donovan has led a renewed focus on the Chiefs fan experience, building on the direction of the Hunt family and Founder Lamar Hunt’s sentiment that “our fans are our lifeblood.” He was recently selected as one of eight representatives league-wide to serve on the Fan Engagement Working Club Executive Committee.
