Camp Information Summer 2024

Missouri Western State University and the Health Professions Department will provide opportunities for those who want to utilize their passion for Esports and gaming to promote personal growth and career development. Our camp will focus on building and developing computer skills, gaming credibility, self-esteem, confidence, engagement, cognitive skills, communication skills, leadership roles, and teamwork. To develop competition skills, we will open daily tournaments for all campers to compete in what they are most interested in Esports. Family of campers are welcome to watch and cheer them on in our arena on the final day of camp.

$15000per camper
Location: Griffon Esports Arena, Blum Student Union, MWSU

All Esports campers will develop the following:

Computer Skills:
To pursue an Esports-related career, learning fundamental graphic design skills, streaming, and content creativity is critical to successfully achieving goals.

Gaming Skills:
Campers will work with players and coaches from the Griffon Esports varsity team, who will analyze gameplay and provide one-on-one assistance and coaching.

Physical & Emotional Skills:
Physical health and increased self-esteem are paramount to competitive success in the Esports industry; we all play better when we feel strong! Campers will learn practical ways of maintaining wellness and the basics of self-defense to increase confidence and self-esteem.

Leadership & Communication Skills:
One of the most significant indicators of success in and our of Esports is the ability to develop leadership skills of individual and team development. Campers will learn and work on team-building activities to improve their leadership, communication, and team cohesion skills.

Online Skills:
It is critical to demonstrate proper online behavior when competing in virtual spaces. Campers will learn about the online behavior required for competing in Esports.
