Samantha Gonzalez is a Sophomore at MWSU.  She is majoring in Business Marketing.  Samantha is a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha.  She says she is obsessed with cats.  She also enjoys running and loves to eat ice cream.

Caroline Cramsey is a Junior at MWSU and is new to campus this semester.  She is majoring in Elementary Education.  Caroline loves to watch old 1970’s TV shows.  She is also left handed and loves to sing.

Mycah Williams is a Freshman at MWSU.  Her intended major is Theatre an Cinema with a concentration in Theatre.  Mycah says she “loves candy”.  She also likes watching Netflix.  She is excited to be a Griffon!

Brooke Gragg is an incoming Freshman at MWSU.  Her intended major is Elementary Education.  Prior to going into High School Brooke worked with a team of NASA scientists in Texas making filters that make unclean liquids clean enough to drink.  Brooke shares a birthday with Walt Disney.  She states that she is a huge Grey’s Anatomy fan, so having a professor with the same name as one of the characters (Dr. Shepherd) is “the coolest thing to me”.

Josh Caldwell is a Junior at MWSU.  He is majoring in Physical Education with a concentration in Health & Exercise Science.  Josh is also a member of the MWSU football team.

Nick Morse is currently a Freshman in his third semester at Missouri Western State University. Nick is majoring in History Education. He plans to go to graduate school and work towards a masters degree and a doctorate in History to be able to teach at the college level. He is a nontraditional student who “finally figured out where I wanted to go in life with a degree”. Nick is looking to travel a lot and visit as many historical sites as possible to gain a new respect and expand his knowledge to a new level on history. One of his all time favorite quotes comes from Albert Einstein, “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.”

Victoria Clark is a second semester Junior at MWSU.  She is majoring in Social Work.  At home she has an “adorable puppy” named Sassy.  Victoria is the Vice President of OSSW (organization of student social workers).  In her down time she loves to watch movies.  However, she rarely watches television.

Bobbi Stalker is a Sophomore and is majoring in business management at MWSU.  Bobbi has lot of pets.  She has a Shepherd Mix puppy, two Great Pyrenees (one only has three legs), a Beagle, and a terrier mix.  She also has nine cats (that she claims, a few are strays), chickens and turkeys, and 5 goats.  Friends and family call her house The Funny Farm. She performed in musicals put on by her school every year from 7th grade to her senior year, most recently being Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors

Alli Collins is a Sophomore at MWSU.  Her intended major is Mathematics Education.  Alli says she is very approachable so “please talk to me!”  She also loves coffee.

Abbi Brown is an incoming Freshman at MWSU.  She has not yet determined what her major will be.  Abbi enjoys photography and art.  She is a member of the MWSU Concert Choral.

Neya Green is a Sophomore at MWSU.  Her intended major is Nursing.  Neya is the proud owner of two pet rottweilers that she “loves dearly.” She has an interesting talent of being able to clap with one hand.  Neya is excited to work with new students as they begin their college experience at MWSU.

Geri Vermillion is a Freshman at MWSU.  Her area of interest is Health Information Management. Geri is a mother of three boys and enjoys teaching them how to grow up and be responsible gentleman.  Geri is looking forward to working as a Peer Mentor. She is excited to work with new students to become comfortable with the college experience and  help them to successfully build a foundation that will take them across the state at the end of this journey.

Abby Sexton is a Junior at Missouri Western State University.  She is majoring in Theater, Cinema and Dance with a concentration in Theatre. Abby has performed in several productions while at MWSU.  Her most recent role was in the Marriage of Figaro where she played a leading role as Susan.

Ashley Gardner is a Senior at MWSU.  She is majoring in Nursing. Ashley is currently a teaching assistant in the nursing lab on campus.  Her plans after graduation are to work in Kansas City, Missouri as an RN.

Tyler Hughes

Peer Advisor

Tyler Hughes is a Senior at Missouri Western State University.  He is majoring in Biology with a concentration in botany and a minor in geography.  Tyler is a member of Tri Beta Biological Honor Society.  In the summer of 2016 Tyler received a NSF funded REU internship at the Missouri Botanical Garden.  His research involved a group of Aroid plants from Ecuador.  Tyler was honored by having a specimen named after him “Anthurium tyhughesianum”. After graduation he plans to work in a botanical research position and attend graduate school.

Amanda Swift is a Senior at Missouri Western State University. She is double majoring in Psychology and Criminal Justice.  After graduation Amanda plans to do some traveling before beginning her Masters Degree in Psychology.

Nicole Bradley is a senior at MWSU who is double-majoring in English (with a concentration in Creative Writing & Publishing) and Philosophy. After finishing her bachelor’s, and eventually after finishing grad school, she intends to teach writing at the college level while publishing her own poetry and prose.

Her back-up plans range from starting a hybrid goat and basil farm to becoming a venomous snake removal specialist.

She has an ominous scythe-shaped scar on one of her fingers.

Rachel Rhinehart is currently a Sophomore at MWSU.  She studying to become an Elementary Education major, with a possible minor in either Spanish or US History (or both!). Shes hope to work with students who do not speak English once she gets into the work force.
