Missouri Western State University’s annual Spring Choral Concert will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22 in the Fulkerson Center on the Missouri Western campus. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and those with a Missouri Western ID. Children 12 and under are free.

The concert will take the listener through a wide spectrum of emotions and musical styles as the Chamber Singers begin with music ranging from “Wedding Cantata” by Daniel Pinkham to “That Lonesome Road” by James Taylor. The Chamber Singers recently completed a successful tour of the Blue Valley Public Schools in Overland Park, Kan.

The MWSU Concert Chorale will follow with an exciting program featuring the Missa Brevis No. 7 “Little Organ Mass” by F. J. Haydn. Other pieces include early American folk hymns such as “Hark I Hear the Harps Eternal” and “The Promised Land,” plus much more.

The choral program is under the direction of Dr. Roger Hale. For more information, call the Missouri Western State University Music Department at 271-4420.
