Tickets are now on sale for the two musicals being staged in the third season of Western Playhouse, the summer theatre company at Missouri Western State University. Meredith Willson’s perennial favorite “The Music Man” will be produced June 20-28, and the award-winning new show “Mother Divine” will be produced July 11-19.

Tickets cost $22.50 for adults. Youth under 17 are $9.50 for the first two, then $1 for each additional child. All seats are reserved seating.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.westernplayhouse.com. There is a $2.50 fee per ticket for online ordering, and the discount pricing for more than two children is not available. “Music Man” won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, when it debuted on Broadway in 1957. With familiar tunes like “Seventy-six Trombones,” “(Ya Got) Trouble” and “Till There Was You,” “The Music Man” is one of the most beloved musicals ever produced. It will be performed at 7:30 p.m. June 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28, and at 2 p.m. June 22.

“Mother Divine” is a comic musical twist on the real-life events of Depression-era Harlem evangelist Father Divine. It was one of ten shows selected for the New York Musical Theatre Festival’s 2013 Next Link Project out of more than 200 shows submitted.
