Students participate in the 2022 Homecoming Parade in downtown St. Joseph.

Sept. 12, 2023–Businesses and organizations who want to participate in Missouri Western State University’s Homecoming Parade on Saturday, Sept. 30 can register now.

There is no cost to participate in the parade, but advance registration is required by Sept. 25. To register, visit griff.vn/HoCoParade

Lineup for the parade will start at 9 a.m. Sept. 30, with judging at 9:15 a.m. and the parade stepping off at 10 a.m. The parade will leave from City Hall at 10th Street and Francis, then go west on Francis to 6th Street, north on 6th Street to Faraon, east on Faraon to Frederick, then northeast on Frederick to 13th Street. The bands will go south on 13th Street and back to City Hall, while the rest of the parade continues to 16th Street.

The Homecoming theme this year is Giddy Up, Griffons. Events start Monday, Sept. 25 and continue all week. For a complete list of events for students, alumni and the community, visit missouriwestern.edu/homecoming/
