Missouri Western State University’s 2017-2018 Theatre Season concludes with Noel Coward’s “Blithe Spirit” April 13-21 in the Potter Hall Theater. Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 13 and 14, and Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 19, 20 and 21, with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. April 15.

The smash comedy hit of the London and Broadway stages, this much-revived classic from the playwright of Private Lives offers up fussy, cantankerous novelist Charles Condomine, re-married but haunted (literally) by the ghost of his late first wife, the clever and insistent Elvira, who is called up by a visiting “happy medium,” one Madame Arcati. As the personalities clash, Charles’ current wife, Ruth, is accidentally killed, “passes over,” joins Elvira, and the two “blithe spirits” haunt the hapless Charles into perpetuity.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for Missouri Western faculty and staff, $6 for students and free for current Missouri Western students with a valid ID. Tickets are available at the door, by calling the Box Office at 816-271-4452 or online at mwsutix.com.
