The Missouri Western State University Symphonic Winds will present “A Symphony of Fables” at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 27 in the Potter Hall Theater on the Missouri Western campus.

The performance will feature new works by composer Julie Giroux. “A Symphony of Fables” sets five timeless fables and their moral lessons to music. Conductors will be Jeffrey Hinton, professor of music, and student conductor Brandon McCoy.

The concert will open with percussionist Jonathan Hobbs’ senior recital and include the annual Department of Music student awards presentation.

Tickets are available at the door: $5 for adults; $3 for seniors and those with a Missouri Western ID; free for children 12 and under.
