“The Drowsy Chaperone,” with music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison and book by Bob Martin and Dan McKellar, is a hilarious tribute to the Jazz Age shows of the 1920s. A diehard musical theatre fan plays his favorite cast album on his turntable, and the musical comes to life in his living room while he provides wry commentary.

The original Broadway production won five Tony Awards in 2006, including for Best Book and Best Original Score. It also won seven Drama Desk Awards, including Outstanding Musical.
