Dr. David Ashley, professor of biology at Missouri Western State University, will give a presentation titled “Batty About Bats” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30 in the Hearnes Center, room 102. The presentation is free and open to the public.

“Batty About Bats” was developed for a general audience with a broad background and interests. Dr. Ashley makes the presentation annually during the Halloween season, a time when bats frequently get bad publicity.

The presentation includes the natural history of bats globally and within Missouri, factors detrimental to bats and the way that bats benefit natural ecosystems.
