The department of economics, political science and sociology at Missouri Western State University will sponsor a public forum for candidates in two Buchanan County races at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30 in the Kemper Recital Hall, inside Spratt Hall. The forum is free and open to the public.

Eastern District Commissioner candidates Tom Archdekin and Dan Hausman and Assessor candidates Frank Still and Scot Van Meter will participate. There will also be two speakers to discuss the Buchanan County use tax measure that is on the general election ballot. Candidates will provide opening statements and then answer questions submitted by the audience.
