Vocal music faculty and students from Missouri Western State University will perform in the First Thursday Downtown Noontime Concert Series at 12:10 p.m. Thursday, April 5 at First Presbyterian Church, 7th and Jules. This is the final concert of the 2011-2012 concert series.

Performers will include faculty members Dr. David Benz, Dr. Roger Hale and Jennifer White, and students Daniel Brooks, Kaitlyn Christian, Adrienne Collins, Jeremy Howe, Donovan Jones, Jacob Mills, Lauren Robbins and Ashley Wood. The pianist will be Ara Ju, a member of the piano faculty.

The program includes both secular and sacred music, including several solos from Handel’s Messiah.

The audience is invited to bring lunch and eat while listening to the performance. Pop or water is provided free of charge. There will be an opportunity to meet the performers after the concert.

To help defray expenses and insure the continuation of the series, a freewill offering of at least $3 is suggested. Additional financial assistance has been provided by the Commerce Bank of St. Joseph.
