Medical Insurance
The cost of health care, services, and medical expenses in the United States is generally very high, and the University is required to guarantee medical insurance to all international students on the F-1 or J-1 visa status. Therefore, students are required to purchase University’s insurance. Please Watch:

Students who are sponsored by their governments such as the Saudi Arabia Cultural Mission, Kuwait Cultural Mission, and the Omani Cultural Mission, are generally exempt from the University insurance. The International Center office reserve the right to request proof of insurance coverage translated into the English language at any time.

Esry Student Health Center (University on-campus)
Students should visit Esry Student Health Center for every NON-emergency or NON-urgent health concern. Most services, medicine and/or immunization given at the center will be charged directly to the appropriate insurance company, normally, at no additional or out-of-pocket cost to students. However, students are charged fees if he/she missed health appointments.

Urgent Care at St. Joseph
The city of St. Joseph has the Urgent Care of St. Joseph that you can visit without an appointment. When you go to the doctor’s office, you might have to present your ID (a passport or a driver’s license) and insurance card. Also, even if you have insurance, you may need to pay a small fee normally under $50, which is called a co-pay or out-of-pocket expenses.
