The Gambia school near where I live has its mission and inspiring quotes on the wall. The UTG Law Clinic summer project is to teach High School students in schools like these about children’s rights and responsibilities under Gambian law. This is modeled after the long successful Street Law program that started in the U.S. but has been implemented in many other countries. http://streetlaw.org/en/home

Our clinic students first have to create a curriculum that is accurate and can be presented to children from all backgrounds. Although The Gambia is predominantly Muslim, the government is secular and there are schools for all backgrounds. I think our UTG students are up to the task.
