Determine Math Course Enrollment

  • Placement Based on Previous College Level Course

  • This would include transfer credits.
  • If the student is a transfer student, please indicate what course they have transfer credit for.
  • The student is eligible to enroll in MAT110, MAT111, MAT112, or MAT116.
  • This student may enroll in MAT110E or MAT111E again, and may challenge that placement by scoring 70 or more on the MPE.

  • The student must be placed according to Math ACT or by taking the Math Placement Test.

  • Placement Based on Student ACT Information

  • The placement based on ACT score would be MAT110E or MAT111E.
    This student should be encouraged to take the MPE.
  • This student could enroll in MAT110, MAT111, MAT112 or MAT116.
    Students with a math ACT 25 - 36 may opt to take MAT147, MAT165 or MAT167 based on their program requirements.
  • The placement based on lack of ACT score would be MAT110E or MAT111E.
    This student should be encouraged to take the MPE.
  • Placement Based on Math Placement Exam

  • This student has been placed into MAT110E or MAT111E.
    This student should be encouraged to take the MPE. Remember that the MPE can be taken once a week, there are free resources available to the student at placement.missouriwestern.edu.
  • This student may enroll in MAT110, MAT111, MAT112 or MAT116. The student should consult an advisor to determine which course is required for his/her major.
  • The student will be placed according to the math ACT score if that score is 18 or higher. In this case the student should be encouraged to take the MPE.
    If the student's ACT score is less than 18, then this student must take the MPE.
    Remember that the MPE can be taken once a week, there are free resources available to the student at placement.missouriwestern.edu.
