Sept. 24, 2025–Missouri Western State University’s Pop Culture Club will host three public events this fall. The first, on Friday, Sept. 26 at 3:30 p.m. in Leah Spratt Hall room 205, will feature a Dungeons and Dragons exhibition game.

The newly-formed MoWest Dungeons and Dragons Club will present student players competing in a quick “one-shot” game, with a panel of faculty and student commentators to help spectators understand the game play. The club will serve themed snacks and offer a question-and-answer session at the end.

In October and November, Pop Culture Club will offer two events at Rolling Hills Library’s Community Room, located in the Belt Branch at 1904 N. Belt Highway in St. Joseph.

On Oct. 23 beginning at 6 p.m., the club will celebrate Halloween with Dr. Dom DeBrincat’s spooky talk, “Puritans in Horror Films.”

On Nov. 6 beginning at 6 p.m., Dr. Kaye Adkins will present a Veterans’ Day-themed talk, “’We’re Proud of You Folks, Too!’ The World War II American Home Front in Radio and Movies.”

All Pop Culture Club events are free and open to the public.
