official applied learning universityApril 20, 2023–The Griffon Office of Applied Learning (GOAL) at Missouri Western State University presents the annual Griffon Applied Learning Showcase on Friday, April 21.

At Missouri Western, applied learning refers to any activity in which students use course content, models, theories and/or skills in real-world or hands-on settings to support career readiness. 

The showcase features a series of events celebrating applied learning on our campus. All are free and open to the public.

  • 9-10 a.m., Exercise is Medicine on Campus, Fulkerson Center
  • 10-10:30 a.m., vocal soloists performance, Kemper Recital Hall, Spratt Hall Room 101
  • 10:30-noon, From Production to Promotion: Media, Film, and Design, Spratt Hall Atrium
  • Noon-1:30 p.m., Multidisciplinary Research Day, Fulkerson Center
